Letter from the CEO

Like most people, I am very happy to see 2020 in the rearview mirror. However, the pandemic’s lingering impact will still be with us for a good part of 2021 until the benefit of vaccinations and herd-immunity take hold. No matter, we now know how to cope with it and we will return to a more normal life sometime in the New Year.

I do believe there is a silver lining to all that 2020 has bestowed upon us. Through all this adversity, pandemic, and wildfires alike, we have become more resilient and flexible when catastrophic events occur.

This was a year of innovation and tenacity, not letting events deter us but rather us taking the “bull by the horns” and determining our own course of action. We learned that we can sustain ourselves in the future if we encounter such a year again, and we most probably will. In my mind, the most important thing is that we have proven that we are a reliable resource to the many customers who rely on us daily. We should all take pride in that fact!

We are grateful to the thousands of front-line workers who work selflessly to provide care to the sick or help to those facing natural disasters like we experienced this last Summer. Along with those frontline workers, we are grateful to the many WCP employees who continued on despite some very challenging times.

Thank you all and here’s to 2021!
