WCP Employee Spotlight: Lennon Benner

WCP Envelope, a part of our converting and manufacturing services, has been specializing in the production and trade printing of envelopes since the 1980s. This month we are thrilled to feature Lennon Benner, a member of our envelope team who has, over the years, showcased his perseverance and ability to take on tough jobs.

Lennon’s Drive to Make WCPE the Best it Can Be

Since late 2005, Lennon has been an integral part of the WCP Envelope team. He began in the cutting department and learned all the equipment there before moving on to the Jet Presses and then learning to print. After that, he moved on to learn how to run the envelope converting equipment.

Over the years at WCP Envelope, Lennon has made a name for himself as one with persistence and bold confidence. His ability to overcome obstacles to meet the customers’ needs has been a real victory for WCP Envelope. He also has an eye for quality with a flair for perfection, and his ability to adapt to the various daily needs has made him a great asset to the WCP Envelope team as well as with his coworkers. Today he can be found batting clean-up anywhere with our production team, assuring the needs of the printing community are met.

Lennon’s Personal Story

While growing up, Lennon moved all over Southern California, from San Diego to Santa Barbara. After he graduated, he moved to Oregon and fell in love with the Pacific Northwest, a region he still calls home today. Outside of work, he loves to go hiking and explore with his wife and kids. He’s learned over the years that hard work really does pay off and while his colleagues think of him as a superstar, his heart is on point with being the best dad and husband he can be.

Q+A with Lennon

What’s your typical day at WCP look like?
Every morning I come into work and try to address the most urgent production task in whatever role is necessary.

What’s your favorite part of working at WCP?
My favorite part of working at WCP is the family atmosphere and the flexibility.

What’s one lesson that your current position has taught you?
My current position has taught me that every step of the process can be the most important.

Can you share 1 or 2 favorite memories or stories while working at WCP?
I’ve been with this company since I was basically a child. My whole life is a story of working at WCP, but what I’ve appreciated the most is the real camaraderie amongst my co-workers and the support I’ve experienced making my story.
