Employee Spotlight: Nina Dela Paz

If you follow WCP on Instagram, you may already recognize Nina from past posts. While she is known for bringing a fun, energetic presence to WCP’s social media, that same upbeat spirit carries into her role at our Eugene division. Behind the scenes, Nina helps keep things running smoothly by answering calls, processing orders, and keeping her team smiling. With her strong work ethic and positive attitude we are proud to feature her in this Employee Spotlight.
Nina’s WCP Story
Nina’s official role at WCP is Customer Service and Merchandising, but she is always willing to jump in wherever help is needed. She often looks for ways to support other teams and collaborate across departments.
A typical day for Nina includes supporting customers by phone and email, helping account managers track down products, and assisting with will-call pickups. When rush orders come in, she steps in to help enter orders, pull items from the warehouse, and stage them for pickup. It is a fast-paced role that keeps her working closely with both customers and her team throughout the day.
More About Nina
Nina is originally from Guam, where she grew up before moving to Eugene in June of 2019. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in nature and keeping things low-key. On her days off, you will often find her reading, listening to podcasts, catching a movie, or browsing the racks through Goodwill. Wherever Nina travels outside Eugene, she makes it a goal to check out the local Goodwills and Dollar Trees. It is her go-to way to explore a new place and uncover a few hidden gems.

Q & A with Nina
What is your favorite part of working at WCP?
My favorite part about working at WCP is the people (coworkers, customers, and vendors). My immediate coworkers are among the best people I know. The other departments/divisions are easy to work with and are always happy to help.
What is one lesson that your current position has taught you?
Communication is key. Getting all the information. Making sure I was communicating/following up with the customers, vendors, Account Managers, etc. I am very big on following up and following through.
Do you have any advice for new people in the industry who are just starting their careers?
Lean on your support team. Don’t feel like you have to do everything by yourself.
Can you share some of your favorite memories or stories from your time working at WCP?
We’re a close-knit team. But one of my favorite memories was when I first started. Joe preferred to handle things independently and I was still getting to know my role and how I could support him. Fast forward to today, it’s been rewarding to earn that trust and see our collaboration grow into such a strong partnership. Joe keeps me informed on his projects, values my input, and trusts me with pricing decisions.
