WCP 2025 Year in Review

The end of the year always gives us a chance to look back on what we have built together and prepare for what is next. 2025 was a big year for WCP, with major milestones across our business, new community initiatives, continued growth into new markets, new product launches, and new educational resources for our customers. As we approach the end of the year, here is a look at the moments and highlights that shaped the past twelve months.

Company Milestones

We have had plenty to celebrate this year, starting with our 95th anniversary on March 1st. To commemorate this incredible milestone, we launched our interactive timeline and shared a special featured video with our leadership team, reflecting on our past, present, and future. In addition to celebrating our anniversary, we also announced the expansion of our service footprint with the opening of our Reno, NV, warehouse. This new warehouse helps us better support our customers in Northern Nevada and the surrounding areas.

Culture and Community

Employee Spotlights for 2025

When we think about culture, we think about the people who shape it and the many ways they make a difference. This year, we were proud to highlight five incredible team members through our Employee Spotlights. Each brings their own story, strengths, and passion to WCP, and together they reflect the heart of who we are. Featuring Stephen from Anchorage, Brian from Sacramento, David from Boise, Thảo from Envelope, and Brooke from Kent, these spotlights offer a closer look at the individuals who help drive our work forward every day.

Midway through the year, we launched WCP Cares, our local charity program focused on giving back to the places where we live and work. Throughout the year, we supported twelve local charities across six states, with $1 from every case of Northwest Choice copy paper sold going directly to a community partner selected by the division serving that region. We have been thrilled with the early results and are excited to see how the program continues to grow, as it has motivated our teams to get involved firsthand. Members of our Kent team volunteered to bag lunches with Backpack Buddies, and our Portland team incorporated their community partner, Candlelighters for Kids with Cancer, into their annual holiday toy drive, further strengthening our community connections.

As a way to end the year and continue to celebrate our team and community, we gathered employee-submitted recipes to create the WCP Holiday Cookbook. It is filled with family favorites, memorable dishes, and traditions shared from our tables to yours.

Creative and Educational Resources

As a company, we focus on being a valuable resource for our customers through the services we offer, the relationships we nurture, and the educational tools and events we host. Two featured events this past year were the Portland Paper Show in May and the Boise Open House in September. The Open House created a space to reconnect, meet new people, and showcase valued supplier partners across our product segments. The Paper Show offered a more focused experience for printer customers and the design community, bringing everyone together for an evening centered on inspiration, creativity, and a shared appreciation of paper and print.

Alongside the Portland Paper Show, we launched Paper and Twine Volume 3, with Volume 4 coming later this month. Additional creative and educational collateral released this year included co-branded Neenah Power to Choose pieces and our Packaging Essentials Guide. These efforts were supported by several new videos, including the Nilfisk Spotlight series featuring five different cleaning equipment solutions, a feature on the Chill-R Thermal Wine Shipper for beverage customers, and a new Sample Services video showcasing our in-house support for sample sheets, mockups, and prototypes.
