WCP Solutions Calendar

For over a decade WCP Solutions has produced and distributed a yearly calendar as a "Thank You" to our customers for their business.

This tradition started as an over-sized 12 month wall calendar, with a reproduction of a fine art print on the top-half and the calendar as the bottom half. This evolved into separate pieces when we found that many customers cut the print away from the calendar to preserve the print while turning the calendar into a utilitarian tool. Its next evolution was to a 6 months at-a-glance format, with large utilitarian boxes for recording deadlines and tasks per day. More recently, in response to customer feedback, we changed the format to a spiral bond 3 month at-a-glance and added a desk calendar.

The calendar has featured different themes throughout the years ranging from Harley Davidson motorcycles, the Thorniley Collection of Antique Type (located in our Kent, WA Division) and the Celebration of Our 75th Anniversary.

Starting with our 2009 calendar we have embarked on a new theme "Through our Employees' Eyes" which consist of  photographs taken by our employees throughout the Northwest. This tradition continues.
"Through our Employees' Eyes"  How does it work?

At the beginning of the year the planning process starts with the release of the "Through our Employees' Eyes" photo contest.

Every WCP Solutions employee is eligible to enter. The contest runs for 7 months.

Once the contest has ended then judging will begin.

The panel of judges are also WCP Solutions employees that have not entered the contest. Some of the criteria for judging are:

  • Theme
  • Originality
  • Image Quality
  • Composition
  • Color/Balance

Once the 12 images are selected then it is off to design and printing. All printing of our calendars are done locally and through one of our Printing customers.

With participation from our employees, vendors and customers this is truly a team effort.
